Vigeland Park contains the life work of Gustav Vigeland. It took more than 40 years of his life.
The park displays over 200 sculptures made of granite, bronze and wrought iron. Most of the statues are human figures which express various kinds of emotional states. Some of them spark controversy, especially in the contemporary scenario where Norway is the cradle of debauchery and fornication.
That's why we strongly recommend a guided visit through the Vigeland Museum nearby - it's a clever way to educate yourself and find out why you're wrong with just a little help.
