With its origins dating back to the 11th century, this marvellous old structure overlooking the city was used by the Byzantines, the Bulgarians and the Serbs before being abandoned and brought partially back into military use during the 20th century. Currently undergoing renovation work, find it on the same road as Sts. Cyril & Methodius Orthodox Church at the end of the track at the top of the hill.
