The delightful disorder that awaits visitors to the Albanian-dominated town of Debar is a wonder to behold. Also featuring more Turkish inhabitants than Macedonians, the lack of infrastructure and obvious poverty doesn’t seem to bother the locals, who revel in the town’s almost Arabian atmosphere and who are without question some of the friendliest souls in the country. There’s also one or two other interesting sights to visit in close proximity to the town.
