This tiny bar/brasserie with an elegant décor is hidden away across from the municipal theatre. It has an extensive wine list, an original menu of international food which includes grain-fed beef from Texas and, quite unconventionally, a kitchen and bar in one. The mini-kitchen is open until late at night, which is also unusual for restaurants in Utrecht and unlike some of the student-run places, the wait staff here don't act too chummy with their customers. It's also good for typical Dutch-style snacks.
