For centuries the Dutch have expounded the excellence of the meat they produce and if you'd like to know why then have a look at this fascinating museum in Beers. Since 1999 the museum has chronicled the development of cattle breeding in Holland and the important role of artificial insemination (KI in Dutch). Learn how the Netherlands became a market leader in livestock improvement during the second half of the 20th century largely due to this technology. The central hall gives an introduction and historical overview, while adjoining rooms cover the story of how people keep and breed livestock. In the laboratory you can also discover how people can even create animals.
