Takeaway joints are often good solutions if you're in a hurry but at Island Delights, opened at the end of 2013 in the funky Pietermaai district, there's another reason to order food. This hygienic international gourmet market does justice to its name and really serves a good deal of authentic island delights. By far the best fast food on the island, each item on the small Asian-inspired menu illustrates the chef's passion for cooking. Prices of the five main courses and the six side dishes are reasonable and you can bring your own tapas meal home. Try the Indonesian spice cake (that's spice, not space), which is a heavenly delight. There's also a small seating area if you'd prefer to stay and absorb the vibe of Willemstad's most entertaining district.
