Hotel Ajax

Despite its excellent location near Dam Square, this hotel fails to comply with basic standards of the hospitality industry. Rooms are unpleasantly small and tremendously close to each other making it impossible for guests to enjoy any peace or quiet. The bathrooms are also a shameful addition to the rooms. They're basically tiny cubicles that provide about as much room as a coffin. Although breakfast is included – a rarity in the Netherlands – eating is a complete hassle. The breakfast area consists of three tables that are meant to be shared by over 40 guests in a period of two hours.
