Built between 1645-1651, this church was built as Kostroma gained prominence as a town and saw its population increase. With eight domes of various complexity topping the structure, walk through the Saint Gates to enter the grounds. Kind of out of the way, but worth a look if staying at the Volga, Snegurochka or Golden Ring hotels.
