Standing out from the rest of the buildings along the waterfront promenade, both literally and figuratively, in its previous life Stanica Škver was the main railway station for Herceg Novi's old town, along the Zelenika line that operated from 1901 till the late 1960s. If this isn't enough historical trivia to attract your patronage, the entire building is also owned by famed director Emir Kusterica, whose promise to turn the premises into an international film school has yet to materialise. The ground floor restaurant pulls triple duty as a an all-day café and nighttime drinking spot, with a menu offering all the typical international fare. The location and atmosphere can't be beat though, and Stanica is a great spot to do some people watching and soak up the nostalgic vibe of Herceg Novi's yesteryear.
