One of the main green spaces to be found within the built-up areas of Herceg Novi proper and its constituent towns along the coast, Igalo Park is located just off the promenade and beach in front of Tito's Villa in Igalo. The park is a hive of activity throughout the year, but in the summer months the atmosphere reaches its liveliest with a small carnival setting up shop, which offers an entertaining night out for kids, families, all manner of locals and even visiting travel writers. In fact, with the bright lights, loud music, smell of popcorn, screams of joy from those plunging towards earth and proximity to the sea, one could be forgiven for picturing themselves in the Montenegrin version of Coney Island (especially after a few beers).
