Tuskulėnai Peace Park Memorial Complex

Between 1944 and 1947 over 700 people were executed and buried here by the NKVD. In 1994 the remains of the bodies were discovered and the area has since been turned into a memorial park. The complex comprises the former manor house and a stable building that now houses an art gallery and the Secrets of Tuskulėnai Manor exhibition, dedicated to both the history of the estate and the aforementioned executions. Underneath is the columbarium, a burial chamber that’s more of a mausoleum and where the remains of the deceased are now kept.
