Featuring everything from old ladies selling garlic bulbs and carrier bags to the occasional bargain goat (cash only), this is a must-see attraction for anyone looking for a taste of what the rest of the country’s really like. Recent attempts to smarten the place up have destroyed much of the atmosphere, but it’s still the best market in Vilnius for fresh fruit and vegetables and it remains exotic enough to warrant a visit.
