Sts. Apostles Peter & Paul Cathedral

Completed at the start of the 17th century and receiving little in the way of changes over the centuries despite the devastation reaped on the city around it, the glorious if somewhat understated Renaissance-style Sts. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral is arguably the most famous landmark in Šiauliai. A gleaming white structure with a red-topped single steeple towering over the city skyline, the plain white interior is notable for its simple design, the addition of three Large golden chandeliers and the Stations of the Cross scattered around the walls being the most outstanding features.
