The Banshee Riga

Even if the Banshee wasn’t one of the best places in Old Riga to taste Latvian and international beers (it is, by the way), you’d probably still want to drop by to take advantage of its unparalleled views of the city’s most picturesque medieval street. Choose your brew from the digital screens above the bar (there are many), take a seat by one of the floor-to-ceiling windows and take in all of the scenery that the city has managed to squeeze in between two 13th-century churches. Plans are in the works to open a wine and cocktail bar upstairs and a full menu will eventually be available, but for now you’ll have to content yourself with an excellent bar. Expect a huge terrace in the summer.
