Old plastic soft drinks crates serve as unique lighting fixtures and even as upcycled seating at Ramen Riga’s bar. In addition to chicken, pork and beef ramen bowls, you can also order chicken yakitori, gyoza dumplings, sides of kimchi and Japanese mochi balls for dessert. Pork-belly up to the bar and try some local beer or perhaps some sake, but don’t forget to add a little sriracha or chilli powder to spice your dish up. In general, the ramen bowls tick most boxes for authenticity, but the noodles were a little too chewy for us and the broth could use some more depth of flavour.
