Although many of the cafés on Jomas at least try to be trendy, this charming yellow house with a beer mug atop its weathervane is unpretentious and thoroughly Latvian. Enjoy inexpensive Latvian beer like Tērvetes, Brenguļu or Latgales on draught and order a pork chop or a shashlik with fries while local oom-pa-pa music plays in the background of its shady summer terrace. A playground is also available for the kids in summer but in winter you can share a seat with the bar's cat next to the fireplace.
