The annual FNB Art Joburg will this year be an online art fair broadcasting from Johannesburg. For years a landmark event on the city’s cultural calendar this art fair that usually takes place over a weekend at the Sandton Convention Centre has moved online entirely for 2020.

With Joburg and Cape Town’s top galleries represented – among them Everard Read, Goodman Gallery, SMAC, Stevenson and Kalashnikovv there’s also an interesting mix drawn from across the continent including First Floor Gallery (Harare), Afriart Gallery (Kampala) and Red Door Gallery (Lagos) to mention a few. Also on the list are Bode Project (Berlin) and Tiwani Contemporary and October Gallery (both London-based), making this a truly global fair for art.

This year Gallery Lab presents an exciting mix of independent curators and emerging artists from across the globe.
