Born in England but raised by his grandmother in the Dublin suburb of Crumlin, Phil Lynott grew up to be one of the city's most famous musicians. This bronze statue honours the founding member of Thin Lizzy who died in 1985. Lynott reached international success with songs such as 'The Boys are Back in Town' and 'Jailbreak'. This life-size statue was unveiled in 2005, and like most other statues in the city has earned a nickname or two, such as The Ace with the Bass. Can you think of any more?
