Pavillon de Paris

This rather fine French restaurant in a romantic setting is somehow one of the lesser known gems of Budapest dining, yet it's been going for years. The main room of this protected building is cosy and tastefully decorated with paintings. There’s also a picturesque walled garden at the back. Service is efficient and unpretentious, and live Jazz is performed in the evenings. However, it’s the food where the highest marks are scored, as they serve a wide selection of thoughtfully presented meat and fish dishes with an authentic French feel (well, the owner is after all French).
