A truly stunning piece of Neo-Baroque architecture. The University of Debrecen is the oldest continually operating university in the country, but we’re not going to try and convince you that masses of students constitute a tourist attraction. The main building though? Oh yes indeed. This is a real beauty at the far edge of the Great Forest, with a stunning French park directly in front. The interior of the building is just as impressive, with walls covered in many of its most famous students, among them Endre Ady and János Arany.
