Consecrated on October 12, 2003 and financed by the Macedonian businessman Risto Gusterov in an unusual act of patronage that mostly went out of fashion centuries ago, the vast Holy Trinity Orthodox Church is worth a look inside if you’re in the area. Featuring designs both inside and out by the Ukrainian painter Anatolij Gajdanaka, the building serves as a potent symbol of the current Macedonian revival of its old spiritual traditions.
