Although the church’s facade looks like it could use some renovations and repairs, the amazing gilded rococo interior will not fail to impress. Built from 1742 - 1758, the baroque-style church is best known for its incredible organ, whose over 7,000 pipes, 131 registers and four manuals made it, for a time, the world’s largest – larger even than that of the Dome in Riga. For a small fee you can climb up the many wooden stairs to the clock tower where you’re afforded an excellent view of the city. The climb is not for the faint of heart.
