Hotel Duinzicht (Hotel Dune View) may not be the most original name we've encountered while researching this part of the Netherlands, but it's certainly one of the best places to spend the night in the area. You can expect 35 spotlessly clean rooms throughout the building and even in the garden and this century-old establishment also has a relaxed atmosphere that can't be beat. The accommodation was recently renovated and is now equipped with all of the necessary amenities including some of the best mattresses we've come across in Schiermonnikoog. You will, however, have to do without a lift. The attached garden and playground is yet another benefit of this highly recommended place for guests who prefer tranquil surroundings to luxurious comforts.
