The 15th-century former home of Germany's greatest Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) is a wonderful building in itself as well as a good introduction to the life and work of the life, times and of course work of the artist. A part recreation of the house as it was, the rooms have been transformed into all manner of exhibits and works of art. The top floor has been transformed into a working studio where visitors can have a go at doing their own engravings.
