Ignore the ghastly entrance - the history museum looks better inside than out. You'll learn about the royal roots of the city, the growth (mostly due to the trade fair) in the medieval era and the destruction of the city in the war. The top exhibits include a beautifully crafted model of the medieval city, and another rather shocking one of the flattened centre in 1945.
