A new kind of milk bar which, while having introduced new look fixtures and fittings, has managed to retain the key elements which made milk bars so successful in their prime – value for money and price. The look is reminiscent of a provincial nightclub but the clean, polished surfaces and large windows make for a bright and airy place to enjoy traditional favourites like pork cutlet in breadcrumbs, ribs and chicken in sauce (various) with a choice of boiled vegetables, fries and surowka (shredded cabbage and carrot). The 15.90zl lunch deal (main course, surowka and drink) has the place packed out most days with the prices ensuring returning trade despite the stressed out service and cold veg. While a lot of effort has gone into modernising the concept it’s good to see this nod to tradition.
