A national park in Cannes, on the coastline, La Croix-des-Gardes is and has been a good alternative to beaches and historic buildings. Founded by an English couple who built a château and created gardens and walking trails, the park overlooks the Esterel Massif Mountains and the Bay of Cannes. There are a few good long walking trails in this 80 hectares of land.
