Turku’s eponymous art museum screams confidence before you approach the front door, such is the imposing majesty of this piece of 20th century architecture. Modern art dominates the walls inside with many of Finland’s finest finding themselves showcased. The temporary exhibitions are routinely excellent, making the Turku Art Museum a delight from (before the) start to finish. Tickets cost €12 for adults, and the museum is closed on Mondays, although that is generally a safe assumption at this point.
