Turku wouldn’t be Turku without its maritime history, a history that is lovingly detailed at this excellent museum in the centre of town. There are some seriously good displays here, the sort of stuff that will impress visitors young and old alike, none more so than the collection of display ships that sit outside, Climb aboard the ships and get a feel for life on the seas, a life that was equal parts serene and stormy. The museum cafe is all sorts of adorable.
