Niguliste Church - Museum and viewing platform

This 13th-century Gothic church, part of the Estonian Art Museum, houses a remarkable collection of medieval art and is home to Tallinn's most famous artwork—a wall-sized fragment of Bernt Notke's haunting 15th-century masterpiece, Dance Macabre. Visitors can also admire intricately carved altars from the 15th and 16th centuries, ornate Baroque and Renaissance chandeliers, and a ‘silver chamber’ displaying sacred items from churches, guilds, and the Brotherhood of Blackheads. A glass elevator takes guests to the wheelchair-accessible viewing platform, offering breathtaking 360-degree views over Tallinn’s Old Town. Renowned for its acoustics, the church also hosts organ concerts every Saturday and Sunday at 16:00.
