Farm Museum of C. R. Jakobson

Carl Robert Jakobson was one of Estonia's most celebrated leaders in the Age of the Awakening. He was a farmer, politician, and journalist, and became a farm owner in 1874. The museum was established in 1948 by his oldest daughter Linda. All of the buildings have been fully restored according to C. R. Jakobson's plans, making this a truly fascinating place to visit. Jakobson in the renovated main house from Autumn 2021.  What makes this museum/farm truly special is that it still functions as an active farm with cattle breeding and land cultivation. You'll see cows, sheep, and horses, many of which are Estonian breeds, as well as rabbits, roosters, hens, and turkeys. The museum also organises guided tours and special events for holidays like Shrove Tuesday, Easter, St. Martin's and St. Catherine's Day, etc.
