‘Council House’ might mean something different to millions of Brits around the country, but the Birmingham City Council House is about as extravagant as the city gets. This classical marvel on Victoria Square is the seat of local government and looks every bit as important as it is. There are plenty of memorials hidden away inside the building, including a number dedicated to soldiers lost in the two World Wars.
