Best Premium Hotels in Liverpool

more than a year ago
In town on business? You’re almost certainly going to mix a little bit of pleasure with that, trust us. Liverpool has plenty of excellent accommodation options for the working visitor, from Beatles-themed hotels to mighty classy boutique affairs.

Titanic Hotel

You can find bits and pieces of the Titanic’s history all over Liverpool, so it is no great surprise to find a fine hotel named after the mighty yet tragic boat. The Titanic Hotel is located in a renovated warehouse on the Stanley Dock, a little out of the centre but absolutely overflowing with charm and character. The restaurant is pretty excellent as well.

Hope Street Hotel

Liverpool’s first boutique hotel is a predictably stylish affair, although it definitely sits at the pricier end of the boutique budget scale. The on-site restaurant is one of the best in the city and the gym is right there for those looking to either work off a mighty meal or earn themselves one. The rooms? Elegant, sleek, comfortable and homely.

Caro Short Stay Main Bridewell

Ignore the mouthy name, this is a fantastic boutique option not far from Moorfields train station. What’s more is it is located in an old Victorian prison, a charming place to stay if ever there was one, although the current set-up is a million miles away from the rancid lives of late 19th century prisoners. Still, what if you wake up and can’t unlock the door?

The Shankly

Named after arguably the greatest football manager in the history of Liverpool Football Club, The Shankly is something of a museum to the great man. Themed rooms, memorabilia and all Bill everything cover the walls and aura of this place, with some seriously comfortable rooms and a quite magnificent location close to St George’s Hall and Lime Street

Hard Days Night Hotel

You can’t really escape The Beatles in Liverpool so you might as well embrace it. This is a Beatles-themed hotel with colour everywhere, making the whole thing as close to ‘groovy’ as the city gets, although it manages to ramp up the comfort levels at the same time. It claims to be the only Beatles-themed hotel on the planet, which is pretty, erm, groovy.
