The Genetically Modified Little Mermaid is a part of a group of sculptures by the Danish professor Bjørn Nørgaard, called The Genetically Modified Paradise. The Mermaid, standing in almost the same manner like her older sister, is a rather gloomy sight, as it looks deformed. With two tails, tormented facial expression and parts of her body missing, the statue has a powerful message.
