Located on Old Town Square, Kinský Palace is the National Gallery’s spot for mainly Asian and African art. Its permanent exhibition, The Art of Asia, includes thousands of objects from Japan, China, Korea, Tibet, South and Southeast Asia, the Islamic cultural region and Africa. Highlights include Chinese art, jade and bronze, Tibetan Buddhist paintings and Japanese ceramics.The building dates back to 1755 and both renaissance and neoclassical elements from subsequent reconstruction can still be seen. The National Gallery has managed it since 1949.
