This most-famous of Prague’s Cubist buildings was reopened by the Museum of Decorative Arts in 2015. Originally built in 1911 to house a department store, the building now holds shops on the ground floor, a Cubist café on the first and then the museum on floors two through four. The second and third levels are dedicated to a permanent exhibition on Czech Cubism while the fourth hosts temporary exhibitions related to the art movement.

Very interesting museum in a beautiful space - the building is as pretty inside as out. The Musuem Shop has some beautiful reproduction pieces which are very tempting! Well worth the entrance fee. There is a restaurant on the first floor which I didn't visit, the museum collection takes up floors 2,3 and 4. Each exhibit is well explained in English, together with background information on cubism. Best of all - hardly any tourists!
