An ancient wooden door and worn stone entrance leads to a veritable labyrinth of rooms and apartments. Most have been renovated, most are split level, all are comfortable and sleek, and in addition staff are friendly and the garden is lovely. Prices belie the location a stone’s throw from the National Museum. For wonderful views, ask for room 4 or 16. Excellent restaurant too.
