A statue of St. Florian by the stonemason Wenzel Rendel originally stood in the middle of the basin, which was built in 1707. In 1735, this undynamic and robust statue was removed to the city farm in Skrbeň and replaced by a sculpture of Jupiter by the sculptor Philip Sattler, in accordance with the antique Baroque programme of sculptural decoration of the Olomouc Baroque fountains. The supreme Roman God and the supreme ruler of the ancient Gods and mortals symbolically battles on the fountain against the enemies of the city, with lightning in his right hand.
