Originally a Greek Orthodox church that was later converted to a mosque, while it's not as famous as its old town Gothic brethren, Famagusta's Grand Mosque is an intriguing attraction to check out if you find yourself wandering around the southern reaches of the city - as we sometimes do. The brown stone of the thick rectangular former belltower turned minaret will be the first thing to catch your eye from a distance.
