These are the seven spots that you can’t miss if you want to discover how creative vegan and vegetarian food can be.
Pukka Tukka
This organic restaurant situated in the heart of the city will steal your heart after just one bite! Using only the best bio certified ingredients, Pukka Tukka offers fantastic vegan and vegetarian dishes carefully made by a very talented chef. The high quality food and presentation along with the lovely service and intimate atmosphere make this place an excellent choice for lunch or dinner.
Sara Green Bistro
If you want to try some excellent vegan and vegetarian food carefully made with fresh ingredients, Sara Green is a small Bistro located on a nice boulevard in the centre of city that prepares everything with love. Their veggie wraps and burgers are a true delight and the soups here are the comfort food you’ll want to come back for. The hummus is also a must-try and the desserts are always a tasty surprise!
Aubergine Restaurant
This restaurant is a gem for everyone who loves good food! Located in the popular Old Town, Aubergine Restaurant never fails to amaze with its beautifully presented mouth-watering dishes. You’ll find plenty of vegan and vegetarian options here, including the special eggplant caviar that’s definitely the star of the menu. The inside of this place is also amazing, the walls being decorated with antique doors that would look amazing on your Instagram feed. Perfect for a special occasion.
Arome
If you’re in the mood for a healthy breakfast or a special brunch, this place has one of the tastiest vegan and vegetarian dishes in Bucharest! With a lovely garden and cosy interior, Arome has the relaxed atmosphere you need when you want to hang out with friends and eat something delicious away from the noise of the city. The service can sometimes be slow, but the wait is totally worth it because everything tastes just as good as it looks.
Rawdia
With very exciting vegan and vegetarian dishes, Rawdia is the ideal place to go if you want to expand your culinary horizons. Situated in a lovely neighbourhood, this restaurant has mainly raw food prepared with passion and served with a smile. We absolutely recommend the tasty Lafa Wrap and their delicious cakes! They also have flavoured water on the house, which is always a plus.
Sublimmme
This little spot located in the heart of Bucharest is the vegan food heaven every food lover needs to pay a visit to. If you're looking for something to eat that will satisfy your taste buds, they have an amazing burger and some awesome smoothies to go with it. Make sure to leave some room for desserts, because the raw vegan cakes here are sublime!
Barca
What makes this restaurant really special is it’s fully vegan menu with lots to choose between cooked and raw dishes. Located near the lovely King Michael I Park, this is the perfect place to eat some finger-licking good food after a long walk in the park. You’ll be surprised to discover they also have vegan versions of some traditional Romanian dishes such as tripe soup. While you’re here, don’t forget to try one of their fabulous desserts.
