A bit of a divisive one this, with plenty of contradictions. It is called ‘Underground’, yet its summer terrace (a charmer of a spot with trees growing through the roof) is definitely not subterranean. It claims to be a rock bar, but the pop strains of Maxi Radio come out of the speakers. Jack Daniels aesthetics are everywhere, from the logo to the chairs, and Underground’s spot just off the new bridge attracts a steady stream of locals from open till close.
