With some 300 modern locations across Slovenia – from key points on all major motorways and larger towns to tiny isolated villages in the countryside – Petrol operates the largest network of service stations in the country. The larger stations are open 24 hours a day, which not only makes for added convenience on longer drives, but also for late night trips for food, drinks, tobacco or other essential items when everything else in town is closed (we've made frequent use of the central Bleiweisova location in Ljubljana over the years). In addition the the usual above-mentioned goods and automotive supplies, you can also purchase concert, sports and other event tickets at the check-out, and the larger locations even have full-fledged restaurants operated by Marché, offering a wide selection of high quality snacks and meals. Most employees speak English (and often a third language), and all major debit and credit cards are excepted.
