The capital city of Belgium is a great place to snap some pictures for Social Media and impress your followers. With quirky landmarks, intricate comic book murals and amazing Art Nouveau architecture, the possibilities for a good picture are endless in Brussels.

Atomium

If you're looking for a fascinating experience, the Atomium is visually impressive inside and out. Being the most popular tourist attraction of Europe’s Capital and a great picture spot, this iconic landmark was built in 1958 for the Brussels World's Fair and today offers you a surrealistic walk through tubes and spheres. The nine spheres represent an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times, each sphere being about the size of a large apartment. Of course, you have to take the elevator to the top because there you'll find a restaurant with the most beautiful panorama over Brussels and its surroundings. Be sure not to miss the permanent exhibition about the history of the building and the temporary exhibitions, along with the boutique full of original gifts!

Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert

Designed and built by architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaer between 1846 and 1847, Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert is one of the first shopping arcades built in Europe! The Galeries are divided into three areas (Galerie de la Reine, Galerie du Roi and the Galerie des Princes) filled with luxury shops, auditoriums, elegant cafés, restaurants and cultural spaces. Inside, there’s the commemorative plaque of the first showing of the Lumière brothers’ motion picture camera and the Taverne du Passage, called the Café des Arts until 1892 and the meeting place artist of the time. You can also visit the Museum of Letters and Manuscripts that holds a collection showcasing the correspondence of Einstein, Van Gogh and Brussels’ own Jacques Brel.

Grand Place

Considered one of the most beautiful places in the world, Grand Place is an enchanting square worth visiting both by day and by night. The city's main plaza is located right in the heart of Brussels Old Town and it is known for its decorative and aesthetic wealth, its architecture being from eras of Baroque, Gothic and Louis XIV. Grand Place is surrounded with small museums, many sweets shops and restaurants and is always packed with people looking to take a great picture. It is definitely a must see and the most wonderful sight of Brussels!

Bois de la Cambre

This is one of the best parks in Brussels! The park was annexed to the city in 1842 and is part of the old Forest of Soignes. It has playgrounds, a ‘pocket’ theatre, a roller-skating rink, a greenhouse and a few other things to see! You can spend a whole afternoon here watching the dogs play, have a picnic or just enjoy the sun sitting on a bench. On the weekends you can even take the €1 ferry to reach the island and enjoy a nice lunch at the historic Chalet Robinson café-restaurant. It is a must see if you visit Brussels.

Parc du Cinquantenaire

One of most popular places in Brussels, the Cinquantenaire Park is a large public park close to the European Quarter and also a great place to take pictures! The park was built in 1880 for the 50th anniversary of the independence of Belgium and hosts a lovely set of gardens, monuments and museums along with various activities throughout the year like concerts and certain events. The star of the park is a triumphal arch with three arches, considered Brussels' Arc de Triomphe. You can also enjoy the view over the city from the top for a small charge of 5€.
