It’s worth paying a visit to the centrally-located art gallery “BELART”, obviously one of the best art galleries opened in the city in the mid 1990s through the effort of the Belarusian Union of Artists. It offers a chance to enjoy and to buy pieces of art by contemporary Belarusian painters and graphic artists, members of the Union.
The gallery features well-known masters whom you’ll find familiar from your visits to large museums and private collections in Belarus and worldwide. Alongside the artists of name, it presents young talent just out of the Belarusian Academy of Arts. Among must-sees are landscapes with urban and countryside themes and still lives, as well as surrealistic paintings and abstract compositions, printed graphics, watercolors, batik, painting on fabric, tapestries and ceramics.
The gallery also offers traditional Belarusian handicraft.
