Tirana's 'new market', actually dating back to 1931, is the city’s main market, and an important source of fresh produce for the locals with 130 vendors. Indoors there's meat, fish and cheese, while an elegant roof protects the sellers of olives, figs, wine, piles of loose tobacco, raki, and - our favourite bargain souvenir - granny-knitten woolly house socks. Early morning is the best time of day to witness the Balkan-style trading and haggling. The area has a lively scene with many good restaurants.

I think you made a nice description of the market, I liked a lot how tobacco was sold, just as any vegetable or so: http://askan.biz/2014/06/10/new-bazaar-tirana-albania/
