One of the most exquisitely preserved suburban residences of its kind in the region, this early 20th century villa is also home to one of the area's best restaurants. Hidden away in the forested hills above Šoštanj, the estate was originally owned by the Woschnagg family, who controlled the once lucrative leather industry. Covered in ivy and other plants and boasting a collection of statues, the villa's courtyard is a often visited by local art students who come here to practice painting idyllic scenery. Of course the cuisine is exceptional and is accompanied by a fine selection of wine from the cellar downstairs (which can only be reached via a secret passageway). There are also a few rooms upstairs that can be hired individually or as one large apartment.
