Musée des Beaux Arts, which means Museum of Fine Arts, is located on Avenue des Baumettes, in a former dwelling place of a Ukranian princess. The museum was opened in 1928 and artwork that is exhibited here date back to the 16th century. The works of Ziem, Monet, and Rodin, are among the collections that are highlighted at the museum. The themes and trends of the exhibitions are a few and different, the more obvious ones being romantic and impression based. Over the years, the museum has increased its number of art pieces displayed at the museum, all thanks to the kind donations of well-wishers and art collectors.
