Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain stands for Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and is located in the centre of Nice. The museum exhibits artworks deriving from the post-war era, both regional and international. Yves Klein is one of a few artists honoured with a special permanent display of their works. He invented the anthropometries, blue monochromes, and the fire paintings. Another artist with permanent exhibits here is Niki de Saint Phalle, she created shooting paintings. Most exhibitions at the museum are temporary and rotate local and international artists on display. When visitors go to the rooftop of the museum, they are met with a spectacular view of Nice.
