Café De Baron has an interior that was already outdated when it was first envisioned in the 1970s but nobody seems to mind and neither do we. This good old-fashioned brown bar has an enormous selection of beers and a cosy, warm atmosphere that's hard to beat. Or perhaps the pretty wait staff has skewed our opinion? No matter. On the first floor you'll find an informal and affordable 'eetcafé' where the management has put lots of effort in creating goofy names for the usual vegetarian, meat and fish dishes. Service is speedy and the hidden rooftop terrace bathed in sunlight on summer days is one of Eindhoven's best kept secrets. Highly recommended.
