On club nights the foyer of pop stage Ekko is magically converted into a vegetarian restaurant. The three-course menu is different every week and prepared by volunteers. The atmosphere is informal, alternative music is played from the bar and you can smell a whiff of the beer that was consumed at your table the night before. The dishes are surprisingly creative from tofu soufflé in truffle sauce to gorgonzola pie with pears. Quality ranges from ‘surprisingly good’ to ‘good enough’, and for €12.50 you probably shouldn’t complain. To eat dinner you must arrive before 19:00 and you can only pay cash.
